Music is offered at Junior Certificate and Leaving Certificate.

There is a dedicated Music Room in Banagher College that is equipped with percussion instruments, piano, drums, violins, guitars, ukulele’s, a number of computers, books and many other resources.

Music students get involved in preparing music performances for school events- opening mass, special occasions, Seachtain na Gaeilge and the 6th Year Graduation.

Students get involved in carol singing in SuperValu Shopping Centre at Christmas time.

This year students are getting involved in The Big Busk for Focus Ireland on 12th April 2024. They will be busking during school hours in SuperValu Shopping Centre. Best of luck to them.

TY music students participate in a workshop facilitated by Music Generation Offaly once a week over a number of weeks where they learn new skills of composing and arranging music.

Our music students attend concerts/performances on occasions. Our senior students went to a concert in The National Concert Hall on 20th December 2022 in The National Concert Hall- Christmas at the Movies!
