Cycle Against Suicide

Mental Health Awareness

Banagher College have been successful in achieving Cycle Against Suicide Ambassador School Status for the third time. This prestigious title is awarded to schools that show exceptional leadership in the area of positive mental health, as well as promoting help-seeking behaviour in young people through spreading the message that “It’s ok not to feel ok, and it’s absolutely ok to ask for help”

To achieve the award the students participated in the national schools go orange day and organised a number of events and activities to raise awareness.

Transition year students help to promote the annual Banagher Darkness Into Light Walk. The Transition Year students are particularly helpful behind the scenes and they have helped to make this a very memorable and successful community event to be proud of.
