STEAM Club Vex Robotics Team
Big congratulations to our S.T.E.A.M. Club Vex Robotics Team, who won the top prize in the Vex IQ Competition at the LOETB S.T.E.A.M. Programme Showcase event at Portlaoise College.
The team won the trophy, €1000 equipment for the school and €500 for themselves!
The Big Busk for Focus Ireland
A number of Banagher College Students participated in the Big Busk outside Supervalu Banagher from 11am until 2pm Friday April 12th.
The Big Busk students will be Ben Hurst, Ethan Cusack, Jack Byrne, Jack Marshall, Isobel Davis, Grace O’Connor, Leah Kenny, Jacob Donaldson, Dectera Stevenson, Hazel Farrelly and Stephen Reilly.

TY’s teaching French!
Our TY French class went to St. Rynagh’s National School recently to teach the students some French. It was a huge success. ‘Bravo Tout le Monde !’
5km Fun Run & Walk
On Friday 22nd March we held a 5km run/walk. Students have been training for this in the lead up to the day. Well done to Mr. Lonergan and Ms. Kilkenny on a very successful event and to all who helped out on the day. See more on X
The recent Banagher College 5km Race /3.5Km Walk proved to be huge success both for Staff and Students.
Male Staff winners: 1st Mr Lonergan, 2nd Mr Scales, 3rd Mr O Brien with Mr Shanahan close on his heels.
Female Staff Winners:1st Ms Kilkenny, 2nd Ms McMahon, 3rd Miss Spain with Ms Kelly and Ms Hehir in close pursuit.
Senior Boys Winners:1st Calum Moore, 2nd Sean Lyons , 3rd John Foley with Evan Mannion and Martin Mannion finishing strongly.
Senior Girls Winners: 1st Sarah Clancy , 2nd Emily Corcoran , 3rd Ciara Staunton.
Junior Boys Winners: 1st Oisín Larkin, 2nd Robert Wynne, 3rd Patrick Larkin.
Junior Girls Winners: 1st Annie Mulhare, 2nd Niamh Daly, 3rd Hannah Kilkenny.
Camogie Sevens
Our team participated in the DCU Camogie Sevens competition on 21st March. Banagher College are the holders of the trophy. They played Loreto, Killina and St. Dominics. They qualified for the semi final where they played Loreto Kilkenny 1. They won with a full time score 7-0(21) to Presentation Wexford : 5-0(15). Two Years in Succession. Well done girls!
