Art Competitions

Fifth Year Sculpture Competition 

The LC1's are in the process of making sculptures for a competition. The winners will be displayed in the Dun Na Si park in Moate plus €7,500 prize money.

The proposed timeline for Judging week & Prizegiving is detailed below. 

April 28th – May 2nd 2014 Judging week. Work residing in Schools. Sculpture and parties concerned to be available at the school. (Exact day and time of Judges visit to be confirmed nearer the date)

May 6th – 7th Feedback. Successful sculptures/schools to be notified.

May 8th – 9th Delivery & Installation. Works (by appointment) to be delivered and installed in the park

May 16th Prizegiving. 2.30 pm Friday @ Dun na Si.

Texaco Art Competition 2012

Congratulations to Caoimhe Mahon and Sorcha Moran in the Texaco Art Competition 2012. They each received a Certificate of Commendation. Texaco had 26,000 entries so getting a special commendation was excellent award for the two girls in what is a very
high standard competition.

Congratulations to Elga Kursite on receiving a special commendation award for her entry in the Texaco Art competition 2012.

Credit Union Art Competition

Congratulations to all who participated in the recent Credit Union Art Competition.

 The following students emerged as winners:
11-13 Category: Louise Flannery, Rachel Killian, Ruth Fogarty
14-17 Category: Saidhbh McIntyre, Donimika Azalasna, Oisin Kelly

Louise Flannery and Siadhbh Mcintyre won 1st prize in their respective categories and their entries will now go forward to the chapter final.
