Silver Gaisce Award Winners

A group of thirty students from last years Transition Year were awarded the President’s Awards (Gaisce Awards) in December. Twenty got bronze awards and four got silver. These prestigious awards are National Challenge awards for Community Involvement, Personal Skills Development, Physical Recreation and Adventure Activity and were done through the school.

Heartiest congratulations to all who achieved their Silver Gaisce Awards by completing a 3 day cycle of 100 miles in length last week. The students cycled through Offaly, Galway and Tipperary and used Dromineer Hostel for their overnight stay. The awards are most commendable and certainly play a huge part in character building.
